Well I have returned from my very own wedding cruise and am happy to report that everything went very smoothly. The trip itself, on the Norwegian Jewel, was amazing but the wedding was perfect. Prior to the wedding I had emailed a consultant from an outside company who then relays all wedding requests to the cruise. They had set it all up. When we arrived on board we had a onboard wedding consultant that was in charge of making sure everything goes as planned on the day of. They made it so easy for us. There were several wedding packages that was offered by the cruise line. We choose a more simpler package. It included a small wedding cake, a champagne toast, the ceremony itself and then 1 hour with a photographer. There were 12 of us total so this seemed perfect. We got married on the ship by one of the captains but there are packages that include getting married at one of the ports, these however are more expensive. Another thing that future wedding cruisers should keep in mind is getting married on a cruise is technically not legal as it is over international waters but in the state of Colorado the bride and groom can sign for themselves as the officiant. So we just brought our license with us on board and signed everything after the ceremony. Definitely worth it!

Like any wedding, the dress is the key. When I was trying to find my dress I had no idea what I was looking for. I wanted something that was suitable for a cruise. First was I ruled out any fluffy dresses, didn't want to carry anything to big or heavy. So I though about short dresses. I tried a few on but they didn't quite give me that bride feeling. Just when I thought I was gonna have to settle I found it. The Perfect Dress. Its beautiful and elegant and it looks great on this model so I figured why not. The moment I put it on I knew. This was it!
